Yes! I made it most of the way to the lake before too late and awoke early to make the final drive to the park. And as you probably know by now, I got a little distracted along the route and didn’t quite get to the park as early as I should have. I think the brief side stops were worth it though.

There are days where you really get lucky. This one is for the books. As I neared the park the weather seemed to get better by the mile. And the closer to the lake I got the deeper the snow! It was piled higher than I could reach in some places along the road. So, yesterday’s new snow really made the entire park look special.

Impending weather and the closing skies left me with minimal time to stay here. And, it was very cold. Not my favorite, yet the most dramatic for such a deep and wonderful blue like this lake. Still, it was time to be moving on and see something more.
