Nose continued….
A little farther up the road toward Crater Lake National Park, the nose redirected the vehicle and I found myself driving up to the Shasta Dam facility. Along the way I even thought I had been there before. On arrival I was pleased to learn that I indeed had not been there before and it was a great side trip.
Some locals there told me the lake hasn’t been this full in many years. So, seeing it this way is really good. Then the nose took over and the smell of flowers and the sight of abundant yellow blossoms took over….
OK, pretty things will be everywhere. And maybe you saw it too, that ominous looking cumulus cloud above the lake? Well, I decided to get back on the road to my destination and it’s a good thing too, sort of….
The rain and snow wasn’t totally terrible. But, bad enough to make driving challenging and more stops rather uncomfortable and more than a little wet. From the safety (and comfort) of the car I grabbed a last shot for the day in transit along I-5 North.
